Chef Luca Lamari brings with him a wealth of experience from London and his hometown of Naples, Italy. He started his career at 17, where he undertook an apprenticeship at the production kitchen in Harrods, London and soon moved to head up iconic eateries including Daphne’s, Sartoria, Enoteca Turi and Santini where he had the pleasure to cook for the likes of Margaret Thatcher, Giorgio Armani, Madonna, Bernie Ecclestone, Sir Roger Moore and Nigella Lawson to name but a few. He also worked as a personal chef to billionaire Lakshmi Mittal.

Luca was was nominated as one of London’s Top Five Italian chefs in the Tio Pepe Carlton Restaurant Awards in 2003 and was listed in the Michelin Guide at the age of 26.

After spending two decades in London, Luca migrated to Australia in 2011 with his Melbourne born wife and their three children. He was quickly employed as Head Chef at Cafe Terroni in Yarraville, Luccatini’s in Melbourne and more recently at Ca de Vin in Melbourne’s GPO, before deciding to take over Moda Kitchen and Bar as Owner/Chef.
